‘A renaissance man of the times’ – Among his many interests is preparing paintings for placement in large spaces.

‘Hod’ was born in Dayton, Ohio and spent his early years on a farm. He began his art career when he won a local art contest. Later he was awarded an art scholarship to attend the Dayton Art Institute.

He graduated from the Ohio State University’s School of Art with a major in industrial design and a minor in architectural design.

After college he entered the army and served in the Presidential Honor Guard in Washington D.C.

Fulfilling his obligation in the military he obtained a part-time position teaching art and photography in the Dayton school system.

Although he enjoyed teaching he moved on acquiring a position with 'General Motors’ styling division in Detroit, Michigan.

His academic calling was realized when he joined the faculty of the Bowling Green State University’s achieving the position as Associate Professor with tenure.

He served on the jury for many art shows and served as the National Secretary of the Mid-American Art Association.

Relocating to Florida he became an adjunct professor of art at the Palm Beach State College and at Florida International University.

He travels extensively throughout Europe and South America visiting the major art galleries and photographing the local architecture and rural environments.

He has a country studio in which he continues to explore ‘Minimalism’ as the theme of his art work.

He conducts workshops and lectures on the fundamentals of fine art and photography.

For the past three decades the value of his work has been recognized by a private European art investment clique. It is their judgment that the abstract paintings movement has ‘run’ it’s course’ and that ‘Minimalism’ will soon become the future movement of painting.

They have acquired his large paintings as a financial investment. The recent state of the European economy has forced the group to offer for sale, ten of these large paintings.
